Jonathan Wilkins – Head Teacher
Certificate in Education, Advanced Diploma in Special Needs

Jonathan joined Lambs Group as the Deputy Head Teacher of Lambs Grange in 1998. In 2000, he became the Head of Education.

Jonathan has 26 years experience in special needs education, having worked for many years for Cheshire Authority across a range of schools encompassing special needs such as as cerebral palsy, epilepsy, spina bifida and autism.

Jonathan is an instructor for Proact SCIPrUK and has delivered lectures for local colleges supporting the training of teaching assistants.

He is also a Governor for a large mainstream high school in Chester. Jonathan has worked to develop an excellent staff team and is proud of the reputation and success of Lambs Grange.




Lyn Brocklebank – School Nurse
RGN, Diploma in Orthopaedic Nursing

Lyn looks after the general health and wellbeing of the young people at Lambs Grange.

All our young people follow a healthy diet and Lyn gives advice to the catering department as well as the families of the young person concerned on how best to maintain this. Where appropriate, she carries out a series of tests to determine food intolerances and subsequently devises and maintains any dietary restrictions.

Lyn undertakes the training of senior staff in the administration of medicines as well as carrying out staff training on topics such as epilepsy and incontinence. Lyn also liaises with local medical professionals and, where necessary, accompanies & supports our young people on appointments.

Simon Weaver - Registered Manager BA.Hons.Phil

Simon has worked for the Lambs Group for 14 years, starting at Lambs House as a Residential Support Worker.  He then moved to Lambs Grange and using his skills and expertise helped set up the (then) new facility, progressing though Deputy Team Leader & Team Leader to his current post. 

Simon has completed NVQ3 and is currently working towards NVQ4.  He is a SCIPRuk Technician and regularly assists in training sessions for all members of staff.  Simon holds a First Aid certificate, attending courses regularly to keep his qualification up to date.

Because of his progression through the organisation, Simon has a deep empathy with the staff and the ethos of Lambs Grange and feels his hands-on approach gives the staff a positive model on which to base their care.



Charlotte Litherland - Speech and Language Therapist.

Charlotte joined our team at Lambs Grange in February.  She qualified as a speech and language therapist 5 years go and has since specialised in working with people with learning difficulties and Autism.

Charlotte sees her role as facilitating a total communication approach at the school, providing every student with functional communication skills and individual and group assessment and therapy.  Charlotte and the team work closely with teachers, support staff, family and outside agencies, providing training advice and support as required.
