Claire Wildgoose - Speech and Language Therapist

Claire joined our team at Lambs House in February. 

Claire sees her role as facilitating a total communication approach at the school, providing every student with functional communication skills and individual and group assessment and therapy.  Claire and the team work closely with teachers, support staff, family and outside agencies, providing training advice and support as required.




Janet M. Luther - School Nurse
RGN RSCM


Janet is a registered adult and children’s nurse. Qualifying in 1976, she held various posts within the NHS prior to commencing at Lambs in 1995. 
A major part of her role involves working with the children, their families and health professionals
to ensure that the children are able to attend mainstream health services when necessary. Diet can have a significant impact on some children with autism. 

Lambs offer food intolerance testing to all the children. Janet is responsible for carrying out the tests and overseeing the implementation of any dietary restrictions.

Janet has also recently qualified as a HANDLE © screener (Holistic Approach to Neuro Developmental Learning Efficiency).  As a screener, she will be devising programs to help the neurodevelopment of the children at Lambs.


 

Denise Jolly - Director of Residential Services for Lambs Group. MA (Therapeutic Child Care)

Denise has 25 years experience of supporting children and young people in a residential setting; 15 of those years specialising in Autism.  Previous areas of expertise include working with children who were in need of protection and in fostering and family breakdown situations. 

Qualified at Lancashire University  with further qualifications gained via an MA in Therapeutic Childcare at Reading University, Denise has also undertaken significant additional development training both external and in-house.  Special interest in the field of residential care include child protection, issues around attachment and development, personal development and responsibility awareness for young people with Autism.

Denise has been a major contributor at Lambs in facilitating and supporting the affirmative and positive role families play in the lives of the children. Denise is also one of our highly qualified NVQ Assessors.
